Bio: Constancio R. Arnaldo Jr. is an associate professor of Asian and Asian American Studies in the Department of Interdisciplinary, Gender, and Ethnic Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He examines the politics of sport among Filipinx/a/o Americans in everyday sporting spaces and boxing spectacles. He is the author of Filipino American Sporting Cultures: The Racial Politics of Play with New York University Press (2024). He is also co-editor for Asian American Sporting Cultures with New York University Press (2016). Additional publications have also appeared in Identities: Global Studies in Culture and Power and the Journal of Asian American Studies.
