Candidate statement
I would love the opportunity to help build an archive for the AAAS, preserving its stories for future generations. With my archival knowledge/experience, passion of storytelling and community archiving, as well as direct access to professional archival resources and support, I could help develop a system that addresses the Association’s archival needs. Conducting a needs assessment first will help determine next steps and workflows regarding collection, preservation, access, and sustainability. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to help preserve the Association’s past and present in an effort to inform the future about its contributions in an ever-evolving society.
