Statement: AAAS has been crucial in my development as an Asian American and Asian Canadian scholar. Its annual meetings are a place to share knowledge, meet friends and feel replenished. For scholars in Eastern Canada and the New England area, AAAS provides an annual revitalization of ideas, a feeling of belonging, and solidarity. It is important to continue to do the kind of social justice work that we do, and to support new and regular members in Asian American Studies.
