Irina Aristarkhova

I am honored to be considered for the position of the second Vice-President of SLSA. I’ve been presenting at SLSA conferences since 2012, and chaired the 34th SLSA conference in 2021, which was virtually hosted by Stamps School of Art & Design and Digital Studies Institute at the University of Michigan. Over the course of those conference planning years, I was in regular contact with the SLSA's Executive Committee and learned more about the everyday workings of the Society. My own research in contemporary art and digital and technoscience studies from feminist and transnational perspectives is closely aligned with SLSA’s visionary interdisciplinary focus.
