Antoine Traisnel
PhD, Associate Professor of Comparative Literature and English Language and Literature at University of Michigan
I have felt a strong affinity with the eclectic community of artists, scientists, and humanities scholars SLSA brings in conversation ever since I started attending its annual conferences as a graduate student. For researchers working across multiple fields of study—in my case, comparative literature, critical theory, science studies, and media studies—SLSA offers a unique platform to engage with rigorous and creative interdisciplinary work. As a frequent reader of Configurations and a regular attendee of the conference, I am eager to get more involved and participate in the governance as a Member-at-Large.
