2. Shall the Modernist Studies Association add the position of Graduate Student Representative to the Executive Committee?
The Graduate Student Representative will be an MSA member currently enrolled in a tertiary degree program (MA, PhD or other degree-awarding program). They will be charged with representing the interests of MSA members who are graduate students. The Graduate Student Representative will serve in an “at large” capacity and will be a full voting Trustee of the Executive Committee, eligible to join all subcommittees and ad hoc committees unless specified otherwise in the Constitution and By-Laws. The Graduate Student Representative will serve a two-year term, with the expectation that they will complete that term if they complete or leave their graduate program. In recognition of their distinct professional status, they will receive funding to subsidize attendance at the annual conference. The Graduate Student Representative must be a member of the MSA at the time of election and throughout their term of office.
